Completed in 1950, the original Bettles Lodge became recognized as a National Historic Site in the year 1996. Offering a billiard room with pool table, full service kitchen and gift shop with local (made in Alaska) arts & crafts. Activities and comfortable surroundings to keep everyone entertained and relaxed. Take it all in with a cold beverage on the screened in porch, a refuge against any mosquito during the summer months.
Full service dining room & bar in the Lodge lobby – we are available to cater any event, great for parties, weddings and celebrations. Upstairs in the Historic Lodge there are 6 cozy rooms that will take you back in time. These basic rooms offer all the amenities you need while you stay in a clean and comfortable piece of history. You can imagine yourself in the 1950’s when the rooms were first built to house bush pilots and dog team drivers carrying the mail.
Experience Alaska through new eyes, no false fronts – genuine, authentic – Alaska.
